Natalia Maddison is an expert on children having been one herself half a century ago. She grew up on a farm in Wiltshire into a large and chaotic family before being thrust into Paris at the tender ago of 16 as an au pair to 4 spirited boys. After university, and a couple of years travelling the world where she worked as a jillaroo, deck hand, nanny, cook and medicine dispenser, she knuckled down and completed a TEFL teaching course. Realizing that this career path was more of an uphill trudge than she was anticipating, she promptly got married and had 5 children before knuckling down yet again and setting up a successful catering company The Cotswold Cooks where she has catered for the likes of Prue, Hugh and an HRH or two too. When the pandemic struck in 2020, she dusted off some of her stories that had been written years before, modernised them and set up a publishing company Muddy Knees Books with the dream that she will become a moderately successful author.
